Going to pick the last of our corn and freeze it (before the crows get and ruin any more of it). Then it is baking Grandma Danna's Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies (reipe in recipe section) for my husband. His birthday was Thursday, but I didn't feel up to par to bake.

Good morning! I hope it is a good weekend for all iElmira! Here's to getting in some good riding before the world starts turning white...

Are you coming up to Ithaca on Sunday for the Cops, Kids, & Toys ride around Cayuga Lake? If so, we hope to see you there among the bunch of people and bikes. :scared: Sherry and I will be on a burgundy GoldWing (GL1800) wearing gray/black Tourmaster jackets and black HJC 3/4 helmets with the "Madonna" microphones (neither of us will be wearing the cones or funnels like she does  even if it is Ithaca).Check it out at: this web site or on the iElmira calendar.I have to get out there and get my motorcycle washed and ready for tomorrow's ride.Unfortunately, the weather (especially after midnight when I ride home) is getting colder.... 45 degrees (F) out there at 12:45 AM.

I wanted to make sure that RAF got credit for this one, as it really was funny. You have to wait till the very last second for the payoff though!

True, that clip has to be at least 50 years old. I knew I loved Bob Hope. Saw him in a few USO shows. Very personable.

That movie clip was hysterical and yet so true. Speaking of smells in big flats, anyone happen to be in consumer square today? My wife and i were in consumer square, I had to go to staples and she went to the hobby lobby. Something smelled amazing. I kept asking what it was then finally I saw it. Burke BBQ , who are they, and where do they come from i have no clue but WOW their food smelled amazing. We stopped and i got a pulled pork bbq sammich, it was really awesome. I must say it was the best bbq sammich i ever had, but I dont eat alot of bbq that was probably my 2nd or 3rd time ever eating bbq. So im not the best judge, but I really enjoyed it. Also I do know that i am not a fan of cole slaw but their cold slaw was really tastey.... im thinking about going back tomorrow and getting some ribs the dude told me he is there wednesday thru sunday (in the parking lot right next to Michaels) tomorrows menu, 1/2 rack of ribs, cole slaw, and some home made sugar cookies from BFC lol

I noticed him there on labor Day weekend. Wondered how the food was. It did smell very good. I drove around it but couldn't find a menu that I could read from my car. As for the cookies - my husband wanted me to sell them at the Big Flats Farmer's Market. He thought I could sell a lot of them. But maybe he is prejudiced. if you are up this way for BBQ tomorrow stop by. I live next door to the BF Elementary school. Beige house with a big deck on the side toward the church. Have a small pond, big orchard and garden. Can't miss it. I'd be happy to share a few cookies if hubby doesn't have them eaten by then.
