Watching this press conference, two things come to mind:

1) The prosecutor seems to LOVE the camera, looks very happy to be doing what she is doing.

2) Whether this came out of Zimmermans stupidity or not, he doesnt stand a snowballs chance in Hell.

The constitution. When you start having race based courts, with special panels to determine what is held in a perosns heart, you devolve down to what SOuth Africa has become.

Does the Constitution even exist anymore ? I know the document exists but the spirit that created it is dead for the most part . It is ignored in most instances and intentionally violated in others . I think they are gonna have a hard time convincing a 12 member jury panel that he is guilty. If I lived around sanford I'd stock up on ammo prior to the verdict being read.

Based on the tapes I've heard, I don't see how they can possibly prove the depraved mindset necessary for Murder 2. This is either a ploy to let him walk or ploy to trick him into pleading guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter. When they dangle the potential sentence for a murder conviction in front of him he may decide a trial is not worth the risk.
