And as the World collapses around us our elected officials are working hard on investing in solar energy , making more laws to protect victims of domestic abuse , getting grant dollars for roundabouts and studies , requiring the unemployed to be drug tested and get their G.E.D. , truly thinking about us in their tireless hard work. Guess what , we are in deep shit and the count down has begun. Anyone out there have faith in any of them ?

Herb, take heart in the fact that, that which can't continue, won't. Once the bad times hits, these silly things that politicians invest so much of their energies on will be so much gossamer, floating away on the first breeze.

Last night on the Daily Show (I know, not the best of sources) they talked about Florida's welfare/drug test program. This is actully funny as hell and you will love it Herb:
But you knew that already, didn't you?

Louis Lebron is then welcome to get a job and not take my money. I don't care what the results are, I care about making it uncomfortable enough to make them decide to get a job instead of relying on me. I don't see a 4th amendment problem, do you?Sorry to see it blocked though.

Normally I find these funny, not so much with this one."Making workers take a drug test insinuates all workers are using drugs."

It is basic Alisnky, which the right has not used effectively. We have to make the left follow it's own playbook. Also the whole ridicule thing. Why isn't someone camped out on Pelosi's front door, ridiculing her and her hypocrisy every day?

What about the legislator? You have to admit it was funny. BTW, the guy on welfare refusing to test has a nicer place than I do.Just sayin'. Yet his "poverty" is justification for my not being able to have such a nice kitchen because, well, I'm not in "need" as much as he is and therefore have to pay for his before I can pay for mine. Oops. Not enough left for me. Too bad, taxpayer/sucker. Again, this guy is on the dole. He is what we call "poverty" in America. But sure, he's got pride enough to not take a test before he takes our money for his children.
But you knew that already, didn't you?

He isn't hungry enough. I ave known people who would have drank the urine and asked for seconds to get to lick an empty candy bar wrapper.
