Guest, I choose for my children to learn more about Math and Science and Literature, over diversity. You make your choice and be happy with it, I make mine and do the same.

Ridiculous? No. Different. I choose what is important for my childs education. Not an overpaid, undereducated school administrator. I would have it that way.

Exactly. And when there is an issue that needs to be handled, the parents have more say than bureaucrats.

I am just happy that there is a school locally that does what the parents require, otherwise my kids would have been sent to one farther away and I would miss them.

Some of the most "well-rounded" people I know have come from private schools. And this is coming from a public-school graduate ...

For those who are questioning why there is no vote consider the following. Our government is a representative government. We elect individuals to do what is each citizens responsibility/duty. We need to keep that in mind every time we pull the lever for an individual. Are they representative of me and my ideals/thoughts/values for this board's functioning. Ideally every member of the school board is a mini member of the community. We have to remember that unless everyone of the members of the community is going to attend every school board meeting and vote on every issue we will need to elect solid members and support them in the decisions they make.Whether that is occurring is up to each community member to decide and if you decide it is not happening we need to get out and elect the right individuals next election this spring.

I'm with you...as soon as my work schedule slows down, I'm heading over to the office to see about enrollment.
Maybe your perception needs tweaking.

Just one, kindergarten. He went there two years ago for their 3 year old program & we loved it. We should have stayed (although he had a wonderful experience with his pre-k teacher & his current teacher).

Me too and the waiting list is for real for that grade so if you are going to do it don't wait.

Thanks, Chris! I don't know why I hadn't thought of that, although I don't have any questions yet :twak:
