Anti-Kuhl Phone Message: “Some Southern Tier neighbors say they’re getting the messages on their answering machine.”

You gotta love this, I mean, I really love this tactic. I would be pissed off if I received a message like this, but I truly admire the absolute scumbaggery that went into it. The people behind it will of course eventually be exposed (he’s got the power of the state behind him to find out who it is).

In the mean time, on with the games!

Darwin Awards Winners: “‘The 2007 Darwin Award Winners have been announced. Precarious sex, squashed thieves, animals eradicated with electricity, the obligatory macho competition involving a train, and one computer (which survived.) But think twice before you read them. Do you really want to know about The Enema Within?’”

img_0357.jpgElmira, Main street McDonalds, with a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) on their order confirmation thingy.

Running Apple OSX, I haven’t rebooted in a year, (well, there was that time when I upgraded from Tiger to Leopard), never crashes, just works. People pay for Windows to do that?

CLAIM: Over 400 Prominent Scientists Disputed ‘Man-Made Global Warming’ in 2007…

Those of you who have bought into it as a religion, or a pseudo religion, please, don;t stop. Separating your papers from the cans and recycling and clucking your tongues at people who choose not to is still ok. But it looks like the actual *science* is turning against you.

I think Gore should give back the Nobel prize (I hear cracker jacks needs a new prize), but I am ok iwth him keeping the oscar, it was all just entertainment after all.

GEORGE W. BUSH, CLIMATE-CHANGE HERO:

The Kyoto treaty was agreed upon in late 1997 and countries started signing and ratifying it in 1998. A list of countries and their carbon dioxide emissions due to consumption of fossil fuels is available from the U.S. government. If we look at that data and compare 2004 (latest year for which data is available) to 1997 (last year before the Kyoto treaty was signed), we find the following.

* Emissions worldwide increased 18.0%.
* Emissions from countries that signed the treaty increased 21.1%.
* Emissions from non-signers increased 10.0%.
* Emissions from the U.S. increased 6.6%.

In fact, emissions from the U.S. grew slower than those of over 75% of the countries that signed Kyoto.

They told me that if George W. Bush were elected, the United States would lag behind the rest of the world on greenhouse gases And they were right!

Mitchell Report Just Released

Judgment Day has arrived for baseball’s steroids era.  I don’t pay for a ticket to a sports event for the beauty of the game, or some zen like experience, I want to see freaks of nature who can hit a 100mph pitch three times farther than I can drive my truck, I want them to be a mass of muscle, with a fuse so short one could not light it and get away.  I want, every now and then, a head to explode from sheer vascular pressure.  Every single athlete should juice themselves up, or face those who did.  And in sports, no endorsement deals go to the second place, they are called losers.

More steroids, give them out like candy, do tests to make sure atheletes have the absolute maximum amount their bodies can take, then give them just a…

SUBURBAN SEX PARTIES DRAW COMPLAINTS: Two thoughts. (1) If my neighbors were bringing in over 100 people for canasta on a weekly basis I’d probably mind the traffic and noise; and (2) Who says middle America is stodgy?

No Raise for Union Workers

Union workers say they were promised a wage increase. Dresser Rand says they want to give them one, but say they can’t.

Sure, walk out, publiclly wish for the company to go under, promise retaliation towards anyone who did decide to support the company, then, expect a raise?  LOL, no really.
