Hat tip: Herb, which sends along

Yes it is Bill. And to add insult to injury I took a little walk down by the River this morning. ( I followed you over the Walnut Street bridge ). On my walk I saw numerous ” Tags” along the newly added River walkways. On the Trees for God sakes. Obviously nothing is sacred. Up to and including a sign about picking up after your dog pulled from the ground and placed about 40 feet up in a tree along the pathway. Its amazing that these people have so much energy and agility but don’t seem to be able to get-a-job or graduate school. And just think , its us that will end

Elmira Man Arrested for Heritage Park Stabbing: “The suspect says he’s not guilty.”

And you know what? I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, until his trial is over. Then can we punish him if he is found guilty, you know, biblically?

www.judicialwatch.org/judicial-watch-announces-list-washington-s-ten-most-wanted-corrupt-politicians-2007

1. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY): In addition to her long and sordid ethics record, Senator Hillary Clinton took a lot of heat in 2007 – and rightly so – for blocking the release her official White House records. Many suspect these records contain a treasure trove of information related to her role in a number of serious Clinton-era scandals. Moreover, in March 2007, Judicial Watch filed an ethics complaint against Senator Clinton for filing false financial disclosure forms with the U.S. Senate (again). And Hillary’s top campaign contributor, Norman Hsu, was exposed as a felon and a fugitive from justice in 2007. Hsu pleaded guilt to one count of grand theft for defrauding investors as part of a multi-million dollar Ponzi scheme.

2. Rep. John Conyers (D-MI): Conyers reportedly repeatedly violated the law and House ethics rules, forcing his staff to serve as his personal…

Elmira man charged with animal cruelty

An Elmira man faces a felony charge of animal cruelty.

Ok, so a guy shoot sanother guy, and gets a slap on the  wrist, I mean, it was his first time trying to execute someone else, gotta give him some latitude, but stick a cat a few time s(Ok, 7 times) with a shiv, and you are going to jail, and not easy jail, federal pound you in the ass jail.

I kinda get it, the guys shooting each other are ow life pieces of filth, and cats, other than the occasional clawing, never really hurt anyone.  I guess m y idea of arming kids with BB guns to take care of the feral cat problem is officially dead now…

More than likely than not, included in tonight’s meeting on the Elmira City budget is the salary for new but yet to be announced City Attorney, John J.Ryan, Jr.

John J.Ryan, a good friend of City Manager John Burin, was Elmira’s City Attorney during at least some of the ill advised Iraci/Hughes era that landed Elmira in its current financial mess. Some of the legal problems Elmira is now paying for were John Ryan decisions on labor as well as costly handshake deals that were never put to paper.

Appointed to be City Attorney on Friday, January 4, former Elmira School District Attorney Ryan had just resigned without fanfare from his position with the school system on Wednesday, Jan 2 following a very stormy relationship which has created a number of problems for the local school district.

The school district is currently being sued over property that they just took title to…

State clarifies stance on use of aircraft
The Commission on Public Integrity just issued an updated opinion on appropriate use of state aircraft, four months after its initial recommendations in response to the Troopergate/Spitzergate scandal. Aides to Democratic Gov. Eliot Spitzer were found to have compiled and released information, with help from the state police, about Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno’s use of aircraft in an attempt to damage the Rensselaer County Republican’s reputation.

The documents released by Spitzer’s staffers highlighted a few occasions last spring during which Bruno attended GOP fundraisers on the days he used a state helicopter. The practice was not in violation of ethics laws at the time, but the Commission on Public Integrity’s predecessor agency, the Ethics Commission, said officials should reimburse the state for parts of their trips that are not government business assuming that there is a bona fide state purpose for the travel.

The commission…
