I don’t know about you but I’d rather give to a charity of MY choice. One would think any contributions made to a campaign would be used to help that individual be elected. I didn’t realize that money could be spent on a charity of someone else’s choice! Not that I’m against charitable contributions but…….

Am I out of line here?

The story from Albany yesterday
Gov. David Paterson’s contributions to charity last year – just $150 – falls far short of what most people give away, experts said Tuesday.

But Paterson gave away more than that in another way: He donated more than $10,000 from his campaign account as lieutenant governor to non-profit groups, such as a church in New York City and a group that helps disabled children in Israel.
