FRED THOMPSON: “My guess is, we’ll be missing him dreadfully by spring.” Some people already are. I certainly would have liked him to provide adult supervision in last night’s debate. And don’t miss the concluding paragraphs, which are, alas, dead-on.

I have met Fred Thompson personally on several social occasions when he wasn’t running for anything. The man is FULL of common sense (which isn’t as common as one might suspect, you know). He has a reality based approach to things and great insight!

I was terribly disappointed when he decided not to run for Senator several years ago and thought at that time he should be running for president.

Running for president is an expensive and time consuming endeavor in addition to one that will age a person before his time. I don’t blame him for stepping down but I am SO disappointed that he did.

We could use come common sense in government.

Problem with that Nina, when you are the only sane person, surrounded by the insane, are you still sane?

We, as a people do not want common sense, we have found that we can vote for ourselves goodies, and so, we will vote for whoever offers us the most goodies.

    Thats the way nations fall.
