The addition of high-tech tools to crime fighting will continue to help Chemung County police agencies turn the corner on street crime related to drug dealing.

The swearing-in ceremony for Weeden Wetmore, Chemung County district attorney-elect, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Chemung County Courthouse in Elmira, according to a news release issued Thursday.

Now, with that said , I would like to point out that the City of Elmira has stopped the Blue-Bin recycling program and has opted out of recycling. For years I watched a single garbage truck collect both the clear bagged garbage and the blue-bin recyclables in the same

Well we arrived, without any real problems, amazingly, the commercial flight was on time and not overbooked. Got in late, and stayed in the Carib Hilton, fun hotel, on the beach in San Juan, has a casino, I have no interest in gambling, but it was fun people watching. Took a metric buttload of pictures with the iPhone, but wouldn’t you know it, for some reason, the sync form it to my laptop ate a bunch (Some of the coolest I think). Just saw I am Legend in Imax here at Plaza Las Americas (largest mall in Puerto Rico), Two thumbs up as a movie, not scary, just unbearably…

The opening of Corning Community College’s Academic and Workforce Development Center in Elmira was one of the biggest and most significant events in education during the past year.
