Trice gets support of PBA

The Chemung County District Attorney lands an endorsement from a law enforcement group in his campaign for re-election. The New York State Troopers Police Benevolent Association has given its support to DA John Trice.

The rank and file LEO’s are good guys, but the PBA must be filled with complete idiots.  Every day EPD officers put their lives on the line to drag these scumbags in off the streets, only to have Trice kick them loose without so much as a show trial.  The PBA must hate rank and file cops.  Sad, that.

Panel eyes universal health care in N.Y.

GLENS FALLS — As physicians and other advocates for universal health care made their case Wednesday for 100 percent coverage in New York, insurers said any solution should build on the “strengths and flexibility” of the current system rather than entail a radical overhaul.

3 year wait for an MRI, 4 year wait for cancer surgery, 8 month wait for a checkup. Hey, sign me up, I nly hope I live long enough to make my appointment.

Officials, Cuomo to take aim at gangs

Local officials will take part in a news conference with state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo today regarding a new state initiative involving gangs, guns and drugs.

Of the three, our overlords have control over one item, guns.  Expect them to bang the gun control drum, long and hard.  With no real effect other than denying honest citizens more of their 2nd amendment rights.  I also expect (cynically I suppose), lots of money to be thrown at gang outreach programs and drug rehab programs.  Neither of which will have any effect either.  But it will provide numerous photo ops for the politicians.  And in the end, that is all that matter.
